Long Island Baked Clams Appetizer by Birtle

Long Island Baked Clams Appetizer by Birtle


            Ingredients

    1 Tsp garlic powder
    1 Tbsp diced onion
    1 tsp chopped parsley
    Oregano to taste
    1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp Olive oil
    1 can (10 oz) minced clams (with liquid)
    Salt to taste
    1 Cup Parmesan cheese (6 Tbsp)
    Paprika to taste
    
            Directions

1. Preheat over to 375.
2. In a frying pan, heat oil. Add garlic, onion, parsley, oregano, and bread crumbs and sauté for about 2 minutes, until onion begins to brown slightly. 
3. Add salt and clams. Mix.
4. Take clam shells and spoon mixture into each. Sprinkle lightly with cheese and crumbs.
5. Place on baking sheet and bake for 25-35 minutes, or until tops are crusty.
6. Sprinkle lightly with paprika and serve hot. 

Serves 18

MIXOLOGY: Long Island Ice Tea! 


1/2 fluid oz. vodka
1/2 fluid oz. rum
1/2 fluid oz. gin
1.2 fluid oz. tequila
1/2 fluid oz. triple sec (orange flavored liquor)
1 fluid oz. cola (to flavor)
1 fluid oz. sweet sour mix
1 lemon slice

Pour ingredience into cocktail shaker  with ice.  (except lemon slice). Cover and shake!  Pour into cocktail glass, garnish with lemon slice! Enjoy!
